Engineer Saad Al Muhannadi was appointed President of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) in September 2013.
He serves on the Board of Teach for Qatar (TFQ), of which Qatar Foundation is a key partner providing collaborative support in education.
Engineer Saad was one of the founding members of QF when he joined the Foundation in 1995 as Project Manager for Capital Projects before being promoted to Assistant Director and, in 2005, to his previous role as Vice President of Capital Projects and Facilities Management.
During his career with Qatar Foundation, he led the development of QF’s infrastructure in line with Qatar’s goal of transforming itself from a carbon-based to knowledge-based economy. He was responsible for planning, design, construction and maintenance of all Qatar Foundation buildings and supporting infrastructure in QF’s vast 15 million square meter campus, aimed at creating a healthy and safe living and working environment.
Holding a B.Arch. from the University of Miami, Florida in USA, Engineer Saad Al Muhannadi started his career with the Ministry of Municipality and Agriculture as Head of Design Development, before becoming an Assistant Manager of the Landmark West Bay development and Chief of the Planning Unit.
